More snapshots to complete the Game Girl editorial in Vogue Paris. I find this editorial so refreshing and exciting - it faintly reminds me of Bruce Weber's work, but it's clearly Inez & Vinoodh.
Game Girl
Vogue Paris May 2009
The Vogue Paris May 2009 cover and Game Girl editorial. I am officially enamoured with what I see so far! I can see the reference towards sixties sexploitation films. Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! is what immediately came to mind. I find it so much more exciting than Alt's and Inez & Vinoodh's recent work with Daria. It's so kitsch and over the top - exactly the kind of editorial I love.
Special thanks to berlinrocks at theFashionSpot for the snaps!

Confirmed
Daria is indeed on the new cover of Vogue Paris! A review at theFashionSpot:
The cover feats Daria front shot wearing denim jacket, and khaki ensemble (short + vneck tshirt made brassière), and a besace with fringe on right shoulder. something pretty sexy militarian. she's wearing a long necklace with a shell pendant and two bracelets made of this dark blue stone (never know its name). she's holding the collar of the denim jacket with her right hand and left hand on her hips (i guess you can imagine the pose). smoky eyes and hair waxed in the back ... sunset in the back. the Vogue font is dark blue, the rest of typo is white and blue.
fashion review :
Game Girl by Inez & Vinoodh and Emannuelle Alt, ft. Daria W. (and boys)
14p. colour / 2 double page
"Daria is fighting with boys on the same road I&V shot Lara Stone for V.I. and the latest Balmain campain (I assume !). She's wearing bikinis (leopard, purple tye&die, vichy etc. patterns. matched/unmatched ensemble). She's wearing denim jackets or shorts and cowboy boots. not that bad for a bikini meets denim theme."
Esprit Libre by Ben Hasset and Julia von Boehm, ft. Daria
5p. colour, portraits
Beyond excited to see this! Daria's last cover of Vogue Paris was the August 2008 issue (above)

H&M Spring 2009
A video has been released on the H&M website, about the backstage making of the SS09 campaign with Daria and Matthew Williamson. They're going for a psychedelic colourful view, which I really like. There are five more videos, with two being released at the end of April, and the rest near the beginning of May. I added some images in the gallery, capped by the darialogist (thank you! - sorry I am too sick to make anything!)

GALLERY UPDATED - the HQ scans by surrealseven were added
After a long wait, we finally have some images from the May issue of Vogue US. I'm surprised Daria wasn't featured in the Meisel group shot - the photographer practically made her career! But aside from that, at least she has an editorial ...
Anyways, finally the editorial. It's just a few shots for now but a very interesting and promising preview. The first shot doesn't actually look like her - it reminds me of Tanya Dziahileva! But I do love it.
Later On: After seeing the editorial in it's entirety, I can say that it's not really a hit or a miss. In terms of showcasing Daria's versatility and amazing capability of posing and channeling different characters, it works. But apart from that, I've never really been a fan of disjointed studio and background editorials. It's almost as if parts are missing, in trying to incorporate so many different ideas. It would have been much more interesting to see an expanded version of each shot, rather than a mixing of seven different photos. I am in love with the first image you see here though ...
Models as Muses
If you've been waiting for a reappearance in Vogue US, Daria has an editorial in the new May issue - Models as Muses. It wouldn't have been complete without her! According the tFS, Daria is shot by David Sims in a outdoor editorial (thank god it's not studio...)

"Sims finally gets some backgrounds and he gives it to us. Best Sims for Vogue edit I've seen in a long long while." Luxx at tFS
David shot Daria in the beautiful W editorial entitled Rela X, in 2003. It was outdoors as well, so let's hope for something as beautiful as this shoot.
Gallery of the Week: En Vogue
I've decided to post a gallery a week (hopefully) of rare pictures, or old editorials - a way to build up the site and to look back at beautiful work. First is En Vogue in Paris Vogue by Nathaniel Goldberg. This shoot is so nostalgic, and I think one of the first editorials where I really started to notice Daria.
H&M Spring 2009
More pictures of the new H&M Spring 2009 campaign. Daria is very (to quote a commenter) Karate Kid. I'm starting to really like these sets of pictures, but I think it's mostly due to the locale. Enjoy!
H&M Spring 2009
The second campaign picture has been released and I'm feeling deja vu. It looks similar to Inez & Vinoodh's previous work, an old Vogue Paris editorial and her SS09 Roberto Cavalli ads.
However, they are interesting - I love the colours and anything to do with the beach. I hope they make a video like the last couple of seasons!
Lily vs. Daria
Daria's cover strikes up a lot of similarities with Lily Donaldson's March 2009 cover. The tousled hair, hand on head and casual slouch ... the trademark model pose!
Daria is a clear favourite for me here, but what about you?
